Nestled in the vibrant Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Le Coin is a charming restaurant that masterfully blends classic French-inspired cuisine with Pacific Northwest freshness. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in an ambiance that’s both warmly inviting and thoughtfully casual—perfect for a cozy night out or a memorable meal with friends and family.
The culinary experience here is truly exceptional, showcasing a rotating selection of oysters that are delicate, crisp, and ocean-fresh—a favorite highlight among regulars like Vita Cohen-Brown and Olya Pipko. Each bite carries the pure essence of the sea, setting the tone for what’s to come. Beyond oysters, Le Coin’s menu bursts with enticing dishes that celebrate both bold and nuanced flavors. Imagine the rich, buttery indulgence of their Eggs Benedict with Crab Benedict, or the comforting, crispy delight of the Fried Chicken Sandwich that combines texture and seasoning to perfection.
Main courses offer refined options such as the Ribeye Steak Frites, perfectly seared and paired with golden fries, or the Sablefish, skillfully prepared alongside baby artichokes and grilled onions, offering layers of savory depth with a subtle charred lemon brightness. For those seeking a lighter touch, the Hazelnut & Garlic Ravioli brings an earthy warmth, complemented by heirloom tomatoes and arugula pesto that lingers elegantly on the palate.
Diners who appreciate attention to detail will find delight in starters like the artisan Bread Service featuring Sea Wolf Bakery bread with seasonal butter and fleur de sel—a simple yet luxurious opening to the meal. The Beet Salad, with its sweet raspberries, pecans, and creamy goat cheese, offers a vibrant medley of textures and flavors that invite repeated enjoyment.
The drinks menu is thoughtfully curated to enhance the meal. From bright, effervescent Mimosas to after-dinner selections like the Flatliner cocktail and Washington’s Dunham Cellars Late Harvest Riesling, each sip complements the food and rounds out a truly satisfying dining experience.
What makes Le Coin stand out, beyond its top-tier fare, is the attentive and genuine service. As Hleb “DeusXFlorida” Makarevich notes, the staff’s authentic hospitality—marked by subtle attentiveness without any fuss—creates a relaxed atmosphere where guests feel genuinely cared for. Amanda G, visiting from out of town, praised its romantic, neighborhood charm and variety, especially for vegetarians, though she did observe that some dishes lean toward a saltier profile, which may appeal to those who enjoy robust seasoning.
Whether you’re seeking a sophisticated brunch with standout dishes like Bread Pudding French Toast, or an elegant dinner highlighted by grilled lamb or heritage pork chop, Le Coin consistently delivers a culinary adventure that feels personal and heartfelt. The restaurant’s ability to balance warmth and refinement makes it a true Fremont gem with a loyal following—and a must-visit for any Seattle food lover longing for honest, beautifully crafted dishes with soul.
We’ve been to this restaurant several times, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend!
Food was stellar in this quaint, romantic, neighborhood restaurant. I’m visiting from out of town and going back before I leave. Wine was great and menu had plenty of options for those with us who were vegetarian. Only piece of feedback would be that food was quite salty. Still great but either had a big combo of salted butter and salt or just a lot of salt. Salads and herbs were very fresh as was the fish. Great spot
Le Coin. Funny how a place can sit on the street like a quiet cat and you don’t see it until it yawns. I’ve walked past it a hundred times and only stumbled in yesterday. Spacy room, warm light, the kind of cozy that doesn’t flex. Staff that actually notices you—water topped, plates down, no fakery, no fuss. We worked through a poached squash salad that came in soft and honest. Confit fennel, sweet with a sly grin. Lamb shoulder, slow and patient, like it knew there was nothing to prove, impressive, my compliments to the chef. But the French onion soup—that’s the bruiser! Dark, rich, steaming like a hymn in winter. It could put iron in your legs, could make Napoleon’s boys shoulder their packs and tramp straight through the Arc de Triomphe for another bowl. Everything was top‑notch. A lovely little joint. I like it. I recommend it. I’ll be back, dragging friends or any poor guest within reach. Thanks, Le Coin.
What a wonderful experience. My mom and I had been out at Ballard Seafest and were on the hunt for a lovley spot to have a nice meal with beautiful food. We drove by many places and then LeCoin came up. We decided to try it and what a spectacular time. Half dozen Oysters that were so delicate, delicious, clean and amazing to eat. Then we both had the Wild Columbian river salmon. Cooked to perfection. Sharing a pasta that was absolutely delicious. The hostess was incredibly sweet, welcoming and lovley energy. Our server was also lovley and attentive. Great service. We did not have reservations and there happen to be one table available outside, which was perfect on a warm summers night. Will be back and suggest to others to enjoy such incredibly delicious foods. The open kitchen was also focused, working hard and you could feel the heart in the atmosphere. Thank you!
We were in the mood for dinner with a prix fixe menu, and Le Coin turned out to be the perfect choice. From the start, our server made the experience even better—she walked us through each dish while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable. The food was outstanding - the trofie pasta dish and lemon tart were my favorites. I also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, and every drink complemented its course beautifully. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
Super friendly service & cute place but our food was just Ok - not great. Heirloom tomato salad was good, French onion soup was mediocre & burgers were under-seasoned. Nice dinner, experience overall, but food could’ve been better.
First time here, we had brunch. The service and atmosphere were excellent (although the music was pretty loud, so keep that in mind). We started with the World Famous Apple Fritters, which were light and tasty. I had the Eggs Benedict with crab, and it was probably 3 stars--the muffin was soft and not toasted at all, there was too much crab (which I THINK was imitation) and overall the dish was not very hot. The potatoes that came with the dish were excellent, although they too were barely warm. My wife had the steak and eggs, which she really enjoyed.
